• Weekend Madness!

Returning "Dumpy" the first time I had her this time last year out of Heron at 32 lb+

Due to a me having a bit of a hectic weekend coming up with various jobs that the wife wants me to do I dont think I will be able to squeeze a night in, however im hoping to do a quick evening session on either Heron or Island, keeping the gear very light and staying on the move might just get me a bonus fish.

Either way I will be getting the gear out and having a good sort out and tying some more "Ninja" rigs up.

Im really looking forward to the next few months, my confidence is as high as its been in a long time, which is something as im never confident.....untill now!

Ive got another water Im looking forward to having a dabble on too, I will refer to this as "The Pit", Im hoping to catch a Myth or two out of there.......I will of course keep you posted on that.

  • I knew it wouldnt continue........

A photo from "I knew it wouldnt continue........"

Heron Lake only a few weeks ago, it was great to see a bit of sun this weekend after such a long harsh winter....

Well ive just returned home after a very unproductive session, my target lake was pretty much stitched up when I arrived so I went on the Heron lake next door.

I managed to get in the swim I had hoped for and put all 3 rods out with my "Ninja" rigs....fishing into a small bay where I had seen a few chunks roll.

It was a very warm when I arrived at the water and the sun lasted all day, it was lovely to see it again!

Unfortunatley other than a few serious liners not much else occured, although I was extremely thankful for the great nights sleep which I had after a hectic week at work!

Well ive had 3 fish in 3 consecutive trips up untill this session so my run had to come to an end at some point, lets hope I have a bit more luck next weekend!

    Be lucky,

  • Nearly That Time!

Well its Thursday night and I only have one more day at work untill its time to head down the lake.

Ive heard on the grapevine that the fish are still showing in huge numbers in the same area that I caught the Starburst Mirror from last week

so ive got a hunch that if I can get back on them I may get lucky again.

I will be nipping down the lake briefly tomorrow night to pick up my new reels and will check the swim situation, my plan at the moment is if the lake I want to fish is busy I will go on the bigger lake next door....I reckon I know where they will be hiding on there too.

I intend on getting down there at dawn on Saturday and have the rods out at bite time, I will let you know how I get on when I return home Sunday evening.

    Wish me luck!
